Victor came to our factory and told us about the importance
of protecting our paychecks if we get hurt or sick. It was
very important that Victor could speak Polish – my native
language, so I could fully understand what it all was about.
I was 57 then and like most of my friends lived from
paycheck to paycheck. So I could not afford to miss a day
from work. Victor helped me to choose Disability, Accident
and Cancer Protection. Having a wellness benefit under
Cancer plan that pays for cancer screening I decided to see
a doctor. I had no major problem with my health, but being
close to 60 and never done any cancer tests I wanted to use
my benefit. It was a shock for me to know I have a prostate
cancer. We talked with Victor many long hours, he was very
positive and it helped me not to panic. I did not worry
about my medical bills as we had a good Major Medical
insurance through the employer. My main concern was how my
family will go on without my paychecks, but when in a couple
of days I got a check from Aflac for over $5000, I felt a
huge relief. Then I was receiving checks for almost every
treatment I underwent, but most of all I was surprised to
get a check for several hundreds of dollars even for my
travelling about 60 miles one way from Piscataway to Totowa
in New Jersey where I was receiving my chemotherapy.
Another great thing about my plans is that despite such a
big claim there was no changes in my premiums or coverage.
It’s amazing. Not like with health or car insurance.
When I was too sick to work I got checks from Aflac’s
Disability plan. So, I was very happy to meet Victor and
followed his advice. With my health insurance and plans
Victor helped me to choose (each was less than half an hour
of my week wage only), my sickness have not ruined my
family’s budget as it often happens to cancer survivors.
Needless to say I am going to keep all my plans for ever and
strongly recommend asking Victor to choose best protection
for you and your family. You never know what may happen and
when. Now I know it and am happy to be prepared for this.
